Ubuntu One In Your Living Room
A few months ago, I acquired a PC that has served me well as in my living room. It has Boxee on it, which is a really neat little media center application. Having it as a resource has allowed us to get rid of cable TV entirely, so we’ve been quite happy with it. More here
Qt in the land of Gnome-based desktops: The issue of copyright in Free software
It would be great if developers had the option of using tools like Qt Creator and Qt Quick when building applications for GNOME-based desktops (or other devices!). The question is: How do you make that happen? All technical matters aside, how do you encourage GNOME developers to consider using Qt for their applications? More here
The Dash Has Landed
User visible changes to Unity have slowed down quite a bit until this week. There have been things like bug fixes landing, and the nm-applet getting indicatorized, and then that getting fixed up. But essentially, Unity has been just the launcher and the panel with indicators for weeks. More here
